The texture on a very old dead tree forms the background setting for the typical Australian landscape. The cattle in the dark shadows become obvious after adding the white horns and eyes. The drovers are highlighted by the red scarves around their necks, wide brimmed hats on their head, beard and eyes to complete the faces. By drawing in the old timber shed and barbed wire fence, the atmosphere of an old barren country is depicted.
