As seen in the colour and texture of rusty corrugated iron on a bus shelter wall in NZ. The valleys of the corrugated iron was clean because of water constantly washing down. The ridges where rusty. When I looked at it rotated 90 degrees it reminded me a the Simpson Desert in Central Australia . "Stranded in the Simpson" became the title, I thought that the Simpson Desert could look like this when in flood.
